Yes, this has been found before, and while it is likely not an Ancient Dragon as it does not fit the descriptions we are provided, it has been speculated as being a general (similar to the Great Destroyer for Primordus) for Drakkar. Drakkar supposedly being the Ancient Dragon described as of ice and snow, nicknamed Drakkar for the creature's location within Drakkar Lake.

Crom, while as Leon said, this is not an Ancient Dragon, you reminded me on something I should put in the Archives - a list of Ancient Dragon topics, so that more do not pop up.
I do not recall if this "dragon" has been discussed on guru - I think it has (with a certain peon raging about it, I'll have to do some thread searching) - it has been discussed in places like the wiki.

"Although these creatures are called dragons, they are as different from Kuunavang and Glint as night to day—more powerful, older, born of different, unfathomable magic..."
I really do fail to see how this, the only mention of Glint and Kuunavang, makes it sound like the two are similar to the Ancient Dragons. Night, darkness and death, and day, light and life.
Although first time I really noticed the "born of unfathomable magic" - does this mean that they are not naturally born, and created by a force so powerful that it can overpower anything we've seen? I hope not (for the so powerful part), but that's what I get out of that phrase.
I really find that old thread that had all the speculation of Ancient Dragons, so people can just read that prior to making a thread.

As you said, the history of the Dragons is unknown, and due to such, it is a "everything goes" field. I would refrain from making radical theories about them. I know I might sound hypocritical with me having made a Lich/Malchor connection in the past, but the fewer theories on the Ancient Dragons we have, the less disappointment and people saying "my theory wasn't right, damn it!" (Because everyone wants to be right, even your last sentence proved that )

Guess so ... I just don't see what the "ultimate good" in this game will be to balance the ultimate evil. Reading the article (yes the Movement of the Worlds) it seems that everything we did in GW went and bit us back in the ass XD, especially releasing Joko.
Im guessing that the unfathomable magic means that the gods made Glint and Kuunavang, but I could also assume that my secret dragon made it =). Perhaps the story of the game could be to unite the three dargons of the land to revive the old dragon. But no maybe im wrong looking at the facts you provided me with, just thought it was an interesting twist.
I also read something about the dragons are so ancient that they were before history, potentially meaning that they may have existed before the Tyrian Gods. =O
Guess I can wait and see, does any of you know the preview date?

It may or may not be difficult for you to comprehend, depending on the type of literature you read or the video-games you play, but there is no definitive evil or good in Tyria. Everything is a nice tinge of gray, not being completely good or completely evil. A perfect example of this is Palawa Joko, he's not entirely evil, but he's certainly not entirely good either. The Asura are similar, as are the Mursaat. Both will go to nearly any extent to achieve their goals, regardless of the morality of their actions.

Yea i understand its a more complicated view then I was looking at, but its pretty common in movies. I was being more straightforward. But with all the bad that the dragons are doing, i doubt they are "good" and everything needs a balance.

Well, we no nothing of the dragons so speculating all the "bad" they are doing is pointless. But basically you can divide tyria into those that are trying to destroy everything (for w/e reason) and those that are trying to survive (humans tend to go in this one)

There was a discussion somewere about the Lizard thing on the ice. And if you observe it closely you will see its not just an ice sculpture. However we always went on the creature within Drakkar lake being the actual dragon - when it was first found (and immediatly believed to be a GL), someone asked on the official wiki what the thing was.
The only answer we got was that the thing under the lake would play a big part in GW2 and that we should watch the ending for more hints as to what it was. So with that it was assumed that it is the dragon of ice and snow and not the mysterious create in the ice chasms. But as pointed out it could be a general or even one of the creates the dragon of snow and ice unleashes.
And as noted, we cant say the dragons are evil. Horrifying, yes. Powerful, hell yes. But evil? they are simply a huge force that probably doesnt even comprehend taking over everything as evil. Much like how Humans regard Insects in real life.
The dragons are the "Humans" and the other races of Tyria (including Humans) are the insects.

Free Runner, you mean this thread. xD Symeon merged all the dragon speculation threads into this one, and it was here for the Ice Pillar Creature from the start.

Hey im not sure if somebody mentioned this(kinda didnt read the whole thread), but we can be pretty certain that these dragons are the antagonists. But what about Glint´s baby, you know, the one you have to protect in that EotN challenge mission? I think it would be cool if somehow the baby dragon was a powerful ally of ours. They could link it to the evil ones. cuz i mean what if it was born at the exact moment the others were awakened(or at least Primordus). I think that would be pretty cool

Half of them. Its already been mentioned GW2 wont have a straightforward storyline like Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. The Mursaat will probably make up one group for the antagonist section along with whatever Anet throw at us this time.

But we protected the baby about a hundred or so years before Primordus awakened and he was the first one to wake up. So it cant of been born as they awakened....

Didn´t Primordus wake up like right after we killed the (Not that)Great destroyer?
well the point wasn't about how they are tied together really, but that it would be neat if Glints baby was an ally or even if the three good Dragons we know of would help us defeat the Ancient Dragons (and perhaps another pesky one Kunvie Firewing!!)

No Ogrefist. As confusing as it is, the ending cinematic occurs over weeks. Notice that in the Epologue Pyre, Vekk, Livia, and all the rest are there? The Epologue occurs after the GD's death. The Cinematic shows Pyre in the Charr Homelands, Livia in some swam area, and others elsewhere.
Primordus doesn't wake up until long after EN. As implied by the cinematic (again confusing) and supported by the Movement of the World (the GD's death postponed Primordus' awakening, amount of time though is unknown, I highly doubt it postponed it by 10 minutes).
Also, the baby dragon was born and half the size of Glint (implying not so baby-ish *6 years happen between Prophecies and EN, so it's probably like 5 years old*) prior to the GD's death, which is prior to Primordus' awakening.
It is possible Glint and/or her child with give a push in the right direction to defeating our enemies. Kuunavang, not so much. We also know the Glint Statue in the Salt Flats will have some kind of role in GW2. What role, we do not know (possibly just a side thing).

Yes the ending is basicly a foreshadow of whats yet to come - the birth of the first Sylvari witnessed in the same cinematic for example. Primordus doesnt immediatly wake up after we leave but hundreds of years later. Defeating the Great Destroyer caused him to be late by two generations.
But yes its highly possible Glints child will play a role in fighting the Ancient Dragons. I doubt a group of mortals could just go against one without some kind of aid - and the aid of a dragon is always helpful when fighting a dragon.

While on the topic of baby dragons that might turn out to be significant in GW2, don't forget Shiny!
